Whenever I remember this unfortunate event, I think of mom as a very strong woman both physically and mentally. She had courage and will-power. When she was told she had to remove her left eye, she was filled with apprehension; however, over time mom faced this ordeal with courage and learnt to deal with her disability. She was truly a strong woman and was a tower of strength to all with whom she came in contact.
